BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The countdown is on for the 83rd Magic City Classic, featuring a passionate rivalry between Alabama A&M University and Alabama State University. The game is set for Saturday, October 26, at Legion Field in Birmingham. If you’re planning to attend, here’s what you need to know.
The day begins with the McDonald’s Magic City Classic Parade at 8 a.m., showcasing top bands, dance teams, and the iconic McDonald’s float carrying celebrities, including Magic City Classic Ambassador Omari Hardwick, known for his roles in Power and Army of the Dead. Admission to the parade is free, and it will take place rain or shine.
Following the parade, the Coors Light Pregame Tailgate Party will be held at Legion Field from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enjoy giveaways and live entertainment.
The game kicks off at 2:30 p.m. and features a halftime battle of the bands between the Mighty Marching Hornets and the Marching Maroon and White.
Parking is limited and requires a pass to access the perimeter around the field. Advance parking for Lot F is available for $58.45, with accessible parking offered on a first-come, first-served basis in Lot F.
Shuttle services are available from various locations for $5 roundtrip, with children under 6 riding for free. All locations only accept credit cards. Be sure to check the prohibited items list and clear bag policy before heading to the game.
