MADISON, Ala — The Los Angeles Angels have transferred outfielder Tucker Flint to Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.
In a corresponding move, right-handed pitcher Jose Fermin was promoted to the Trash Pandas from High-A Tri-City.
The Rocket City roster remains at 27 players.
Flint leads the Trash Pandas in runs (61), hits (104), home runs (16), RBI (58) and walks (71) in 2024.
The 2024 season was Flint’s second with the Trash Pandas as he played in 123 games for Rocket City last season and finished with a .233 average with 13 home runs and 63 RBI.
The 23-year-old became the first Trash Pandas player in team history with multiple 100+ hit seasons.
Flint is the Trash Pandas all-time leader with 138 walks. The outfielder ranks second in team history with 244 games played, 855 at-bats, 29 home runs, 42 doubles and seven triples.
This will be Flint’s first appearance on the Triple-A roster in his third professional season.
Prior to today, Flint was one of six Trash Pandas who have been on the active roster throughout the entire season. That list also includes right-handed pitchers Chase Chaney and Hayden Seig, catcher Tyler Payne, infielder Sam Brown and outfielder Nelson Rada.
Fermin is in the middle of his first professional season as he’s combined for a 6-5 record with a 3.25 ERA in 37 bullpen outings.
The 22-year-old Payita, Dominican Republic native was promoted to High-A Tri-City on June 20. During his tenure there, Fermin finished with a 5-2 record and a 3.74 ERA.
Fermin was signed as an international free agent by the Angels on October 20 of last year.
