Rocket City Trash Pandas looking for national anthem singer

The event is open to the public and auditions will take place at Parkway Place Mall on February 17.

MADISON, Ala. — The Rocket City Trash Pandas are set to hold national anthem auditions at Parkway Place Mall on Saturday, February 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This offers individuals, ensemble groups, and choirs the chance to audition for the opportunity to sing the “Star Spangled Banner” before one of the Trash Pandas' 69 home games at Toyota Field during the 2024 season.

The event is open to the public. Registered contestants will receive a schedule for their performance. Unregistered individuals or groups are also welcome to audition on a first-come, first-served basis, although audition availability is not guaranteed due to time constraints.

Trash Pandas On-Field Emcee “Tricky” Ricky Fernandez will host the event, with the panel of judges for the auditions to be announced in the coming weeks.

The auditions will take place at Parkway Place Mall, located adjacent to Memorial Parkway (Highway 231) near the Drake Avenue intersection in Huntsville at 2801 Memorial Parkway SW. The auditions will be held on the lower level in front of Dilliard’s.

The Rocket City Trash Pandas kick off their 2024 home game on Tuesday, April 9, against the Birmingham Barons. Tickets for single games, 20-game mini plans, and group tickets & hospitality spaces for the 2024 season are currently on sale.
