Vols finish perfect at home, beat UTEP, 56-0

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee defeated UTEP on senior day, 56-0, the win put the Vols at a perfect 7-0 at home this season. The Vols had a slow start, not scoring a point in the first quarter. 

Dylan Sampson put the Vols on the board in the second quarter, with a 14-yard touchdown run. 

Tennessee never looked back after that. Nico Iamaleava found Squirrel White on a 9-yard touchdown reception, that put Tennessee up 14-0. 

More Vols found the endzone against UTEP, Iamaleava connected with Ethan Davis on consecutive plays—the second connection ended in the checkboards from one yard out, which made it 21-0. 

Senior Bru McCoy scored back-to-back touchdowns in the second and third quarters to give the Vols a 35-0 lead. 

In the second half, Peyton Lewis added on a pair of rushing touchdowns, to extend Tennessee's lead to 49-0.

Cameron Seldon rushed it in from 3 yards out with 8:24 remaining in the fourth quarter, that touchdown put the Vols up 56-0.

Tennessee heads to Nashville to play Vanderbilt next week at 12 p.m. E.T.
