ALABAMA, USA — As rescue and recovery efforts continue in Mobile and Baldwin counties, Governor Kay Ivey is asking people to be patient.
More power crews are being sent out, and the National Guard has five water evacuation teams in Baldwin County making rescues as needed.
Due to severe flooding, officials are asking people to not to drive through standing water.
Ivey is urging people to call 9-1-1 only for emergencies.
"Let me urge you to only use 9-1-1 if you're facing a life threatening circumstance. We must prioritize our requests to the most critical needs," said Governor Ivey.
Ivey is also asking people to stay home until roads are cleared and power is restored.
