HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A nice fourth of July is ahead of us here in the Tennessee Valley. Of course we can expect the heat considering it's now July but what about the rain chances?

The entire southeast will have plenty of moisture in the atmosphere tomorrow, meaning conditions will be extremely humid, muggy, disgusting, etc. for the afternoon tomorrow and with us having some moisture, that means thunderstorm development will be a possibility tomorrow.

Our rain chances for tomorrow afternoon are slim, about a 30% chance, but it is still existent. It does look like south of the Tennessee Valley will have a greater opportunity to see rain/thunderstorm development tomorrow afternoon, but any rain we see should be out of our way by the time to launch fireworks.

Our futurecast does pick up on a few scattered showers but like mentioned earlier, the majority of the activity will happen to the south of our viewing area and any rain we do see won't be long lasting. Notice our futurecast doesn't really pick up on a lot of cloud coverage - that's because we're expected to see mostly sunshine tomorrow.

Our temperatures look to also remain right at average but that doesn't mean it won't be warm... Our average high temperature for this time of year sits arounf 90-92 degrees. Tomorrow will be feeling extremely hot thanks to a good bit of moisture being around the TN Valley, aiding in the increase of our heat index values.

Feels like temperatures will be in the 100s tomorrow and our high temperature will top out around 91 degrees for the afternoon. Our feels lie temperatures will start to decrease ending this weekend and into the start of next week.

All in all, it's expected to be a great day to celebrate the 4th of July "weather" you stay indoors or take things outdoors to enjoy the sunshine. Rain chances increase on Sunday and the beginning of the week next week.
