HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Want to get in shape without running and jumping?
The jackets are coming off and summer gear coming on because it's gonna be summer and some of us aren't ready for it. So for all shapes and all ages, we're going to show you a workout that you can do at home or even at your bar.
FOX54's Julia Smith met up with Pure Barre instructor Jazmine Grier to learn workouts for people of all ages and shapes.
Pure Barre in Madison is a low-impact workout that utilizes people's body weight and minimal movements and weights to tone lean muscles on the body.
Questions about workout
Is it really possible that someone in their 20s to their 60s can do this workout and see results?
"I think it's amazing. I think it's that thing that drew me into Pure Barre, seeing that anyone can do it and that I could do this forever. I could come in at different phases in my life and know that it is a good strong fit," Jazmine said.
Jazmine says that people who come often want to trim down and get leaner and stronger focus on their arms, the core, to feel a little slimmer when they put on their jeans.
How often do you need to go to a class or do these types of workouts to really start seeing a change?
"I would say again safe enough to do every day just because it is low impact and that you don't need any equipment. You know, you can use your body to your benefit and push a little further.
