HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A second person who had been shot in a mid-October incident in Huntsville has died, police confirmed Sunday.
Huntsville police identified the victim as 24-year-old Davante Centrell Dixon.
Officials said that at this time, the five people arrested for the shooting have not been levied with additional charges, but as the investigation remains ongoing, that could change.

Huntsville police announced that two more arrests have been made in connection with a deadly shooting on Meridian St. in October. The shooting took the life of Damien Obrien Manning, 22, and hospitalized another person with life-threatening injuries.
Dion Earl Ernest Roos-VorHauer, 19, of Huntsville was booked into the Madison County Jail on Monday, Nov. 5.
Jordan C. Lakes, 20, of Huntsville was booked into the Madison County Jail on Thursday, Nov. 7.

The HPD Major Crimes Unit has arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a weekend shooting that left one person dead and critically injured a second.
Jordan Latrell Smith was booked into the Madison County Jail Wednesday afternoon on a reckless murder charge related to the nighttime incident on Oct. 12 at a gas station in the 3300 block of Meridian Street.
An officer who was in the area heard "multiple shots" and was one of several HPD officers to respond to the scene.
The shooting took the life of Damien Obrien Manning, 22. A second man is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
There has been no indication of what led to the shooting.
