PRICEVILLE, Ala. — Community leaders in Morgan County are making sure students start the school year off successfully with supplies.

The Morgan County Schools Foundation hosted 'Stuff the Bus' at the Dollar General in Priceville. The supply drive was in partnership with the Morgan County Sheriff's Office and media partner Mix 96.9.

Our very own WZDX News team also helped sponsor the event with Chief Meteorologist, Jordan Dressman there.

Organizers say it's important students have what they need.

"This year is important because we feel like we will see an influx of additional requests from teachers of children needing assistance with providing their own school supplies, just because the pandemic has caused a financial strain on many families throughout Morgan County," says Morgan County School Donation Executive Director, Kayla Riggs.

This is the foundation's fourth 'Stuff the Bus' event.
