Virtual school student recommends for students to set a schedule

Back to school can be hectic, especially virtually. One student recommends to plan your day.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — As kids head back to school virtually, one Alabama student who's enrolled in Alabama Virtual Academy for the past four years, says it's important to set a schedule.

You can start by setting your alarm clock everyday and getting started on your work even if parents aren't up yet.

Another tip, it's good to take breaks.

"When I take breaks it helps me calm down. And when I'm done with my break I feel like I'm more focused, which makes it easier to concentrate," says Alabama Virtual Academy student, Dorthy Brooks who lives in Birmingham.

It's also recommended to use that break time to do extracurricular activities.
