HUNTSVILLE, Ala —
Businesses in the Valley have been taking a hit with all the coronavirus chaos. One local coffee shop is feeling the impact and making changes to keep its doors open.
OffBeat Coffee, located at campus 805 has made some big changes to the way you get your morning coffee.
Their hours have been shortened. Owner, Kyle Husband, tells us they’re now open from 7 am- 2 pm. Tables are separated 6 feet apart to meet distancing requirements and Alabama Department of Health mandates.
Customers are asked to sanitize their hands when entering in order to prevent the spread of the virus. Tables, menus and shared surfaces are wiped down with disinfectant after anyone uses them.
Kyle Husband tells our reporter, they’ve had to temporarily lay off all almost all of their workers. Husband says, “The only people left are ownership, so that would be my wife, Anna, and my business partner, Drew… I hope they lift some of these guidelines and people start coming back out because I would love to have my staff back.”
OffBeat Coffee is now offering curbside pickup, so you don't have to come inside. You can also place orders on Grubsouth.
