Madison County steps to accommodate disabled voters

Voting could present challenges for our neighbors who have disabilities. Here's how to report if your disability is not being accommodated in Madison County.

Polling places across Huntsville on Tuesday had signs indicating areas with special accommodations for voters who have disabilities.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Voting looks a lot different this year if you went out in person to cast your vote at a local polling place. But, voting could present challenges for our neighbors who have disabilities.

Polling places across Huntsville on Tuesday had signs indicating areas with special accommodations for voters who have disabilities.

According to MadisonCountyvotes.com, voting equipment should be available at each polling place to accommodate voters with disabilities so that they can vote without assistance. 

Huntsville city officials tell us a lot of work goes into making sure these polling places are accessible for all voters.
