Huntsville Animal Services encourages you to 'quarantine' with a shelter dog

With so many people working from home, now is a great chance to foster a dog.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala — With many people staying at home, Huntsville Animal Services says that this is a great time to grab a shelter buddy to quarantine with.

HAS also still has free adoptions for most of their pets through March 21. So go ahead and grab a new best friend to quarantine with. If you don't want to adopt, they also have foster and sleepover programs.

Huntsville Animal Services does however request that the only people who visit the shelter are adopters and fosters to cut down the risk of spreading COVID-19.

Decatur Animal Services also is temporarily only allowing visits by appointment only.
