HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville Parks & Recreation is getting ready for Father’s Day with the Day for Dads + Car Show event on Saturday, June 8. The event, set to run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at S.R. Butler Green at Campus No. 805, is looking to provide a fun-filled day for families to celebrate fatherhood ahead of the upcoming holiday on June 16.
According to Parks & Recreation Director James Gossett, the free event offers an excellent opportunity for the community to honor fathers while enjoying quality family time. Activities include a car show featuring classic and custom vehicles, the Rocket City Dad sports competition, and the Beard N' Stache competition.
People can also explore various vendors, enjoy giveaways throughout the day, and grab food from food trucks on-site.
