On Saturday, Helping All Live Outstanding (H.A.L.O.) delivered goody bags full of socks, gloves, and other necessities to families in Huntsville.

The group was able to buy the winter items with a grant from Wholesale Jewelry.

They say the need in the community has grown since the pandemic.

H.A.L.O. Community Outreach Event Coordinator, Tierra Campbell, said, "A lot of the community has been affected during the pandemic. They're homebound, disabled and haven't been able to get out, or since the pandemic hit, they're unable to work, so what we're doing is trying to ensure that everyone's needs are met with the essential items to ensure that the children are kept warm."
