ALABAMA, USA — The Department of Transportation is starting on the more than $14,000,000 project on Sunday night.
Work will be done on more than seven miles of the interstate from just west of Exit 1 at I-65 to just west of Exit 7 at County Line Road.
This is the first major project funded by the Rebuild Alabama Act, which gets money from the gas tax increase implemented last year.
They hope to have the project complete in a year and half.
