MADISON, Ala. — It's National Police Week, and the Madison, AL Police Department received a really big care package.
According to their Facebook post, the department got a delivery from Operation Gratitude containing over 300 pounds of personal care items and goodies, including Girl Scout cookies, candy, coffee, hand cream, lip balm, nutritional supplements, and more.
But they said the best part was, "Letters and cards of thanks and encouragement from all over the country!"
If you have a special law enforcement officer or department you'd like to honor for Police Week, text us their name, department, and a picture if you have one to (256)382-2692. We'll be honoring officers online and on-air all week.
