Free groceries to be given out at Hazel Green High School

This drive-thru distribution will be on February 24 from 9-10:30 a.m., or until supplies last.

HAZEL GREEN, Ala. — Local nonprofit, One Generation Away, is set to deliver a truckload of essential groceries to Hazel Green High School's parking lot on Saturday, February 24, extending a helping hand to those in need. The initiative, known as OneGenAway’s Mobile Pantry, offers a convenient drive-thru food distribution experience, featuring a variety of fresh produce, pantry staples, bakery goods, dairy products, and more, available to all.

“We are thrilled to partner again with Hazel Green High School to share food with our community,” said Lindsey Lee, Alabama Manager for OneGenAway. “If a grocery cart full of free groceries would be a blessing to you, we hope you join us! There is no registration or paperwork required. We are just here to help in times of need.”

The Mobile Pantry kicks off at 9 a.m. and will run until 10:30 a.m., or until supplies last. Early arrival is encouraged, as distribution operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those interested in volunteering can join starting at 7:30 a.m., with no prior registration necessary.
