MidCity Holiday Market postponed | North Alabama events November 8-10 | Happening This Weekend

There's plenty of events to enjoy this weekend.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — This weekend has some events to keep in mind! 

One big change: MidCity's Holiday Market, originally scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 10, has been postponed until Sunday, Nov. 17.

North Alabama Author Festival - On November 9th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., featuring over 20 authors from various genres. The event offers something for everyone, with authors available for meet-and-greets and book signings for both adults and children.

Merry & Mindful Market - Lemon & Lavender’s Merry & Mindful Market will be held on November 9 and 10, offering eco-friendly gifts and sustainable holiday shopping from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 108 Main Street

Holly Jolly Open House - On November 9 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering giveaways, raffles, snacks, sales, and plenty of holiday shopping fun.

St. John’s Craft Fair - The annual charity event benefiting Safe Haven Baby Box through Madison Fire & Rescue will take place on November 9th from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1055 Hughes Road, with free admission and parking.

Lobsterfest - On November 9 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Huntsville, featuring lobster and BBQ sales, live music, artisans, and children's activities. 

Rocket Park & Pathfinder - The first phase of the newly renovated Rocket Park is now open, offering visitors a chance to explore Rocket Row and learn about the milestones of space exploration, including the Mercury Redstone, Juno II, and Saturn I rockets.

Cookies and Stories with Santa & Mrs. Claus - A festive event offering holiday fun for children of all ages will be held on November 9 and December 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring cookie decorating, a visit with Santa, and story time with Mrs. Claus.

All Aboard the Holiday Train! – Kickoff the Holidays at Harrison Brothers - The Holiday Train event at Harrison Brothers kicks off the season with free, family-friendly festivities on November 8th and 9th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., including a visit from Santa, a holiday charcuterie demo, and a storewide 10% discount.

Holiday Market at MidCity 2024 - Set for Sunday, November 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring 150 local vendors, live music, food options, and visits from Santa and special characters. The event is free to attend.

Parent's Night Out - Parents can enjoy a night out while their kids have fun at a supervised climbing event, held on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. The "Parents' Night Out" runs from 6 to 8 p.m. 

The Market at MidCity - Every Sunday until November 10, from noon to 4 p.m., featuring 50 local vendors.

Rocket City Bluegrass Jam Weekly bluegrass jam on Sundays at Straight to Ale. Happening from 4 to 8 p.m. 

The Village of Providence Farmers and Artisans Market - Happening every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the market season runs from April 6 to November 30.
