HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — This weekend has some events to keep in mind!
Tate Farms Annual Pumpkin Destruction Day - Annual Pumpkin Destruction Day on November 2, featuring a variety of smashing activities and entertainment. Admission is $30 for ages 2 and older, and the event includes monster truck shows, live music, food trucks, and a fireworks display at approximately 7 p.m.
Glow Night Ziplining - At the U.S. Space & Rocket Center's Area 51 Challenge Course on October 31, November 1, and 2. Participants aged 12 and older can climb the Giant's Ladder and zipline through the dark for a thrilling Halloween experience; tickets are $15.
2nd Annual Christmas Market at Heritage Corner Farm - The Christmas At the Corner event on November 2nd will feature over 50 vendors and more than 1,200 visitors, showcasing a variety of custom gifts, decor, and food options. Admission is free, and the event will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Christmas At the Corner.
3rd Annual German Food Fest - At the Messiah Lutheran Church on November 2 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event will feature food specials from The Casual Pint, baked goods, live music, a quilt sale, and activities for children.
Under the Christmas Tree 2024 - The 40th annual Under the Christmas Tree shopping market will take place from November 1-3, 2024, at the South Hall of the Von Braun Center. The event features over 120 vendors, holiday activities, and special appearances by Santa, offering a festive kickoff to the holiday season.
Round Top Folk Festival - Burritt on the Mountain will host the 4th Annual Round Top Folk Festival on November 2-3, featuring traditional crafts, live music, and local vendors. Day passes are available on-site for $5 for members and $15 for the general public, with activities running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Dia de los Muertos celebration - Athens Arts League is hosting in Downtown Athens from Oct. 31 through Saturday, Nov. 2, at High Cotton Arts. The event honors and remembers loved ones with activities including ofrenda viewing, music by Grupo Sol, storytelling sessions, and a children's art area.
Hauntsville Film Fest - The Hauntsville Film Fest returns to Huntsville, Alabama, on November 1 and 2 at the Stone Event Center in Campus No. 805. This unique festival, the only woman-run horror film festival in the Southeast.
Mayor’s Tree Planting Day - Mayor Battle and the Green Team invite the community to the annual Mayor’s Tree Planting Day on Saturday, November 2, at Brahan Spring Park from 9 a.m. to noon. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to help plant hundreds of trees, with seedling trees available to take home while supplies last.
STEAMfest 2024 - The Alabama Science Festival will host its 5th annual STEAMfest at the Orion Amphitheater on November 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free event will feature nearly 100 interactive booths, live science shows, and food trucks, providing fun and education for all ages.
North Alabama Ag Expo - On November 2 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Alabama A&M University’s Agribition Center, featuring interactive displays, a petting zoo, music, and free food for families and anyone interested in agriculture.
Fall Education Fair - Join the Land Trust at Chapman Mountain Nature Preserve on November 3 from 1 to 4 p.m. for an afternoon of educational activities, including lessons on birds of prey, foraging, and geology, with naturalists available to guide participants. This free outdoor event is open to all ages, and no registration is required.
Celtic Slow Music Session - Celtic Slow Music sessions will take place on the first Sunday of each month from 2 to 4 p.m., featuring a mix of relaxing and uplifting tunes performed by local artists. Attendees are welcome to bring food and drinks to enjoy during the musical gathering.
Parent's Night Out - Parents can enjoy a night out while their kids have fun at a supervised climbing event, held on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. The "Parents' Night Out" runs from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Market at MidCity - Every Sunday until November 10, from noon to 4 p.m., featuring 50 local vendors.
Rocket City Bluegrass Jam - Weekly bluegrass jam on Sundays at Straight to Ale. Happening from 4 to 8 p.m.
The Village of Providence Farmers and Artisans Market - Happening every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the market season runs from April 6 to November 30.
