HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Village of Promise on Monday hosted a city-wide Thanksgiving meal called "One Table Huntsville" with the goal of bringing people together for a meal.
Village of Promise encouraged participants to sit down and enjoy their meal with someone who may come from a different walk of life than themselves. Hundreds of people sat down at one big table at Big Spring Park and did just that.
"This is an annual event put on by Village of Promise and the idea is to bring people from all walks of life together to share a Thanksgiving meal," said volunteer Victoria Rich. "As you can see, this is a good representation of bringing all walks of life together. And the food is great, it's an exciting event, we love being here, helping out."
