HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — In 2021, the U.S. Paralympics Cycling Open came to Huntsville.
It's back for 2022, and organizers hope to find the next generation of cyclists. In conjunction with the U.S. Paralympics Cycling Open, which runs April 8-10 in Huntsville, the U.S. Paralympics Cycling Development Clinic will be held on Sunday, April 3 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at the UAH Fitness Center (500 John Wright Drive, Huntsville, AL 35805).
If you are ages18 or over with physical and/or vision impairments and want to learn more about cycling, this clinic is for you. Learn about the sport of para-cycling and try out different cycles based on your abilities, such as bicycles, tricycles, and handcycles, under the guidance of U.S. Paralympics Cycling coaches. No experience is necessary.
This event is presented by the Huntsville Sports Commission and Phoenix. Please register here by April 1.
The 2022 U.S. Paralympics Cycling Open will bring approximately 150 to 200 athletes for three days of racing this spring. The U.S. Paralympics Cycling Open, presented by Toyota, will take place in two locations in Huntsville April 8-10, 2022.
