2022 brings a full festival experience with films, informative panels, live music, and activities for film and fans of all kinds. The 2022 festival opens at the new Orion Amphitheater on Thursday, June 9, and continues at various locations around Huntsville Sunday, June 12.
What is the Southern Fried Film Festival?
Founded in 2018, the Southern Fried Film Festival (SFFF) is an annual event celebrating international films, indie music, and innovative technology. This festival hosts diverse voices from around the world in the areas of film, music, technology, education, and culture.
According to the SFFF website, former Huntsville High School classmates, Trevite Willis and Kelley Reischauer, decided to team up and bring an amazing film experience to their home city of Huntsville, Alabama in 2018. Festival executive director Trevite Willis, an executive producer on the Sundance 2020 award-winning film Forty-Year Old Version, is an award-winning producer committed to courageous storytelling and championing voices of color.
