Totally Tubular Festival set to rock Huntsville with iconic 80s hits

Put on your best legwarmers and tease that hair - the '80s are coming to the Orion Amphitheater.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — In a thrilling throwback to the 1980s music scene, bands Thomas Dolby, Thompson Twins’ Tom Bailey, Modern English, Men Without Hats, The Romantics, Bow Wow Wow, Tommy Tutone, and The Plimsouls have united to announce the "Totally Tubular Festival." This lineup promises to deliver a journey through some of the most iconic hits of the decade.

The festival will take place at The Orion Amphitheater located at 701 Amphitheater Drive NW, Huntsville, AL 35806, on Friday, July 12, 2024. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with the performances starting at 6:15 p.m.

Fans can look forward to singing along and dancing to live performances of chart-topping classics like "She Blinded Me with Science," "Hold Me Now," "I Melt with You," "The Safety Dance," "What I Like About You," and "867-5309/Jenny." Each night will be a nostalgic celebration of the era that reshaped the musical landscape.

The tour is set to kick off this summer, bringing together the unique sounds and rhythms that defined an era known for its innovative and eclectic music. Tickets for the "Totally Tubular Festival" are on sale now. 

The Orion Amphitheater can hold up to 8,000 people and has received numerous awards since its opening in 2022, including nominations for Amphitheater of the Year and New Concert Venue of the Year. The most recent award was for "Top East Coast Amphitheater" on Billboard's prestigious 2024 Top Music Venues list.
