Free, virtual North Alabama career and training fair coming July 14 to July 16

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A free, virtual career fair is coming to North Alabama from July 14 to July 16.

Companies and job seekers can register for the Upwards Career & Training Fair online. This event is a collaboration between all 13 North Alabama counties.

According to the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, unemployment figures for May show that region one in North Alabama has a 7.8% unemployment rate. Region one includes the following counties: Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Morgan and Winston.

Here are the specific times in which job seekers and companies will interact with each other:

  • July 14, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • July 15, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. (optional)
  • July 16, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
