HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Are you ready to savor delicious BBQ and enjoy a weekend of fun? The Whistlestop BBQ Festival is returning to the Rocket City, promising a flavorful experience for BBQ lovers and festival-goers alike! Set for October 18-19 at MidCity District, this beloved tradition is back, celebrating its roots since 2001.
Join the fun as MidCity partners with i3 to bring this event to life, all while benefiting Earlyworks. Guests can enjoy BBQ tastings, participate in the People's Choice BBQ competition, and explore a variety of food trucks and vendors. For those looking to unwind, there will be a selection of cocktail and mocktail drinks available.
The festival will run from 3 to 11 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Saturday.
Music lovers will be treated to live performances from Caleb Mills, 5ive O’Clock Charlie, Element XI, Pine Hill Haints, and Mustache The Band. Headlining the Saturday night festivities will be Leftover Salmon, kicking off at 4 p.m. before the Billy Strings concert.
VIP tickets are still available, offering exclusive access to a private tented area, VIP bathrooms, bites from Blue Oak BBQ, Tito’s Vodka drinks, bourbon tasting, and beer.
Don’t miss out on the public tastings and judging: Friday will feature a wings tasting, while Saturday highlights pulled pork. The grand champion BBQ team will take home $2,000 and a trophy, while the Reserve Grand Champion will snag $1,000 and their own trophy. Payouts will also be awarded to the top five teams in each category!
