HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — This year, female students from the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering will participate in a cyber-based challenge at the school's Oakwood University Campus.
After the challenge, panelists will talk about career opportunities, what it’s like to work in a STEM field and the importance of women in STEM.
"You can be that next innovator. You can be that next Albert Einstein. You can be that next Marie Curie. You can be that next hidden figure, except you won't be hidden anymore, so, you know, there's a lot of things you can do that are just awesome, you never know until you try," said Lisa Bate, Senior Principal Engineer, Raytheon Technologies.
The day will include giveaways for all attending students and Amazon gift cards for the winning team.
When: Thursday, February 25, 2021, from 1:55 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
