ATHENS, Ala. — Get ready to go toe-tapping! The Athens State University Foundation and the Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention Steering Committee announced the 57th Annual 2024 Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention. The entertainment lineup for the has been unveiled. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, October 2, through Saturday, October 5, 2024.
Here's the lineup:
- Wednesday, October 2, 7:30 p.m.: Darin & Brooke Aldridge (Special Gospel Concert) Free Preview Night – No Admission Ticket Required
- Thursday, October 3, 6 p.m.: The McLain Family Band
- Thursday, October 3, 7:30 p.m.: Authentic Unlimited
- Friday, October 4, 6 p.m.: Darin & Brooke Aldridge (Bluegrass Concert)
- Saturday, October 5, 7:30 p.m.: Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper
All performances will take over the Alabama Farmers Cooperative Main Stage at Founders Hall. Your admission ticket grants access to all the performers.
Admission wristbands cost $20 per adult for single-day entry on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Opting for the entire weekend? It's $30 per adult for a weekend pass. Children under 12 enter free with a paid adult.
The Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention was established in 1967 after support from two local fiddling contests. With a stated goal of reviving the tradition of old-time music, the annual event held on the campus of Athens State University is known as the 'Granddaddy of Mid-South Fiddlers Conventions.'
