HUNTSVILLE, Ala — Starting March 12th, households across the country will receive an invitation to complete the 2020 U.S. Census.
You can respond online, by mail, or by phone.
Alabama is at risk of losing a congressional seat and federal funding.
Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce is pushing for people here to participate. Members say every count matters.
"Our role is to reach out to employers. We want employers to participate in this because you may have people who are in your staff that are 18-25 years old. Think about ten years ago, they were about 8,15 years old. They probably didn't know what the census was and they didn't know how important it was," said HSV-MadCo. Chamber of Commerce VP of Marketing & Communications Claire Aiello.
The Chamber of Commerce is part of the city's 'Complete Count Committee'.
