HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The GeoResilience Summit is returning to Huntsville, courtesy of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and GEOHuntsville. Scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 3, at the Jackson Center, the event will see Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle welcome and provide a preview on Tuesday, March 19, at 2 p.m. in Big Spring Park East.
This summit serves as a platform for people to engage in discussions with experts from government, industry, and academia. The event aims to show the impact of GEOINT on national security and explore the technological advancements within Huntsville's geospatial ecosystem, used by the Marshall Space Flight Center and the U.S. Space and Rocket Center.
GeoResilience Summit include a keynote address by NGA Deputy Director Tonya Wilkerson and speeches by leaders from NASA, the Defense Intelligence Agency, U.S. Space Command, the City of Huntsville, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and more. Mayor Battle will deliver the closing keynote.
In addition, a free student career fair will run during the event from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., offering opportunities for students to engage with representatives from various sectors within the geospatial industry, including NGA and other federal agencies, as well as industry and nonprofit organizations. Industry experts will be available for resume reviews on a first-come, first-served basis.
